About Ardent
A small operation, on purpose
Ardent Care Home runs two licensed residential care homes in the Santa Clarita Valley. Between them they serve twelve people — which is the most either home is licensed to hold, and the most we want to hold.
Leadership
Run by the people who answer the phone
Ardent is owned and operated by Roilann de Guzman, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, CCRN-CMC-CSC, working alongside Hazel de Guzman, NP. When you call (661) 313-2988, you are reaching the people responsible for the homes — not a call centre.
Critical-care nursing is where the difference between a good night and a hospital admission is usually someone noticing something small, early. That is the standard both houses were built around.
How we work
Three things we will not trade away
Six residents, never more
A small licensed capacity is not a limitation — it is the product. It is what makes it possible for a caregiver to notice that someone ate less than usual today.
Nurses in charge
Both owners are registered nurses with critical-care backgrounds. Clinical judgement sits with the people who run the homes, not a distant regional office.
A house, not a facility
Ordinary streets, ordinary living rooms, meals at a shared table. Residents keep their own furniture, their own routines and their own doctors.
Licensing
Licensed and inspected by the State of California
Both homes are Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly, licensed by the California Department of Social Services. Licence numbers are public, and we publish them on every page they belong on.
